The room I stayed in at Ganesha Hostel was absolutely amazing! It had a balcony, which was perfect for enjoying the beautiful views of Battambang. The private entrance made me feel like I had my own little hideaway. The seating area was comfy and cozy, making it the ideal spot to relax after a long day of exploring. Plus, the tile/marble floor added a touch of elegance to the room. I couldn't have asked for a better room as a guest who appreciates comfort and tranquility.

Honestly, I can't really think of any cons for Ganesha Hostel. The only thing that might not be everyone's cup of tea is that some rooms don't have a balcony.

Loads of Europeans hang out in the entryway, mostly with cigarettes lit… so if you are allergic to tobacco smoke, be forewarned!

During my recent weekend stay, I was pleased with a few aspects of the accommodation. the location was very convenient, situated close to key attractions and within walking distance of popular spots in town. the bar and restaurant area provided a pleasant atmosphere to relax and enjoy a meal or drink. Lastly, the staff were generally friendly and helpful, offering suggestions for activities and arranging transportation.

There were a couple of negative aspects that affected my overall experience. The room I stayed in was uncomfortably hot, even though it was cooler outside.

Towering Elegance: Nestled on the highest floor, my room was the pinnacle of serenity, granting unparalleled views of Battambang's vibrant streets below. Like a regal observation tower, I marveled at the lively bustle from my private balcony.

Weak Water Pressure: Shower time turned into an impromptu dance routine as the feeble water stream sporadically graced me with its presence.

Convenient location, perfect for families, close to everything

During our family trip, we stayed at Ganesha Guesthouse and it was an ideal choice. With our 4-year-old and 8-year-old, finding a budget-friendly accommodation that offers space for everyone is challenging, but Ganesha provided exactly that. The "Lady Dorm" was spacious, with four double beds each equipped with its own bookcase, shelf, and mosquito net. We even had a balcony where we could relax and enjoy the view. The owners were lovely and their children even played with ours, making our stay even more special. Ganesha Guesthouse is also conveniently located near Soksabike and Battambang Bike, great places to rent bikes for the kids. The only downside was the heat in the rooms, but the fans helped alleviate it. I highly recommend Ganesha Guesthouse for families looking for a comfortable and family-friendly stay in Battambang.

Great value for money, comfortable room with powerful fan and mosquito nets. Excellent location in the historic district, walking distance to attractions. Friendly and helpful staff, enjoyed hanging out with the owners and locals at the bar.

had an amazing romantic weekend in battambang and ganesha exceeded expectations. lovely dorm beds, comfy with great mosquito nets. staff was incredibly helpful and smiley, always going above and beyond. the bar/cafe downstairs was a great hangout spot, and there were plenty of restaurants nearby.
